"Increasing the social dialogue in the Trade sector"

Bilbao - March 11-14th 2014

About twenty delegates from the Trade sector met in Bilbao on the 12th, 13th & 14th March 2014. They could join the local representatives to some meetings so they could experiment some real situations, study some concrete cases (example : social dialogue touching on the question around work on Sunday), exchange some good practices (negotiation, hygiene, security, dialogue, ergonomics, work on Sunday, etc.).

The workers’ representatives could recall a large number of European legislative tools (guidelines upon the information-consultation of the workers ; guidelines regarding working time, …) and consider their relevance in their sector (the big trading companies).

They also could meet their counterparts from both workers and employers sides. These days were rewarding in terms of access to some new networks (ex. : Trade service of San Sebastian) and contacts (Carrefour and Mediamarkt delegates, food stores).
